Diversification of Creative Confidence


Creative multimedia is based on individual creativity, skill and talent with the potential to create wealth and jobs through developing intellectual property. It has evolved tremendously in Malaysia to be the fastest growing part of the economy; locally and globally, and it is now seen as a supporting platform to other industries in the nation. The Malaysian government, through its' policies such as the National Creative Industry Policy (DIKN) has facilitated many initiatives to encourage the community to venture into the multimedia industries. Despite the effort and talents that has been innovated, Malaysia is yet to emerge as the eminent creative nation, and produce more talents and potentials that could contribute to the economy and development of the society. Hence, School of Multimedia Technology and Communication (SMMTC) and Institute of Creative Humanities, Multimedia and Innovation (ICHMI) take this opportunity to collaborate professional, academics and practitioners from all over the world to further nurture the nation's potentials to accomplish practical applications in both innovative thinking and creative production through the International Conference on Human and Multimedia Creativity (ICON-HMC 2017).
